Group distracting apps once, then reuse those groups across schedules and Protect Now sessions.

Shield selected apps for a planned window when you want a firm boundary and fewer chances to drift back into distraction.
Shared or Per-App Time Limits
Set one allowance shared across a group or give each individually selected app its own allowance. When a limit is reached, the relevant apps become protected.

Hourglass uses Apple’s Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to apply app shielding and usage limits. App groups, schedules, preferences, and focus activity are designed to stay under the user’s control.
Hourglass does not require a separate Huanelia Studio account for its core focus protection features.

Important platform limitations
Hourglass relies on Apple-provided Screen Time APIs. iOS can report when a configured usage threshold is reached, but it does not provide a continuously accurate live “minutes remaining” value for app usage allowances.
Strict mode is the strongest resistance Hourglass can provide inside the app, but an iPhone owner can still remove the app, revoke Screen Time permission, or change system settings outside Hourglass.
