1. Overview
Growth Journal is a progress journaling app developed by Huanelia Studio. The app is designed to help users record, organize, and review personal progress across areas such as work, reading, learning, routines, and self-reflection.
We value user privacy and aim to keep the app simple, transparent, and respectful of personal information.
2. Information You Enter Into the App
When using Growth Journal, you may choose to enter information such as:
- Work logs, project notes, and task descriptions
- Reading notes, book titles, quotes, summaries, and key ideas
- Learning notes, topics, takeaways, and application ideas
- Dates, tags, mood selections, and progress categories
- Blockers, next steps, reflections, and personal notes
- Other information you choose to add to your progress entries
This information is used to provide the app's core features, including progress tracking, journaling, search, filtering, entry review, export, iCloud sync status, and personal insights.
3. Storage, iCloud Sync, and Local Fallback
Growth Journal stores progress entries and related information on your device. When iCloud is enabled and available for the app, your journal entries may sync through your private iCloud account using Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services.
Huanelia Studio does not operate its own server for your journal entries, and we do not directly access or store your journal content on our own systems.
If iCloud is unavailable, disabled, restricted, not signed in, or temporarily unable to sync, Growth Journal may continue storing entries locally on your device. In that case, entries may not appear on other devices until iCloud becomes available and sync completes.
iCloud sync depends on your Apple ID, iCloud settings, iCloud storage availability, internet connection, device settings, and Apple's services. Growth Journal does not guarantee that syncing will be instant, uninterrupted, or available in all situations.
4. Notifications
Growth Journal may request permission to send notifications if reminder features are offered. Notification permission is controlled by your device settings, and you can enable or disable notifications at any time.
Reminder notifications are intended as helpful prompts. Delivery may depend on device settings, system limitations, app permissions, and other factors outside our control.
5. Purchases and Premium Features
If Growth Journal offers paid features, subscriptions, free trials, or lifetime purchases, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Huanelia Studio does not directly collect or store your full payment card details.
Apple may process payment-related information according to Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
6. Information We Do Not Sell
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use progress entries, journals, reading notes, learning notes, or work logs that you create in Growth Journal for advertising sales or data brokerage.
7. Analytics, Advertising, and Third-Party Services
The current intended design of Growth Journal does not rely on third-party advertising or third-party analytics services operated by Huanelia Studio.
Growth Journal may use Apple-provided platform services, such as App Store in-app purchases, device notifications, iCloud, and CloudKit, to provide app functionality. These services are provided by Apple and may be subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
If analytics, crash reporting, artificial intelligence services, or other third-party tools are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe those services.
8. Data Accuracy and User Control
You are responsible for the information you enter into Growth Journal, including its accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
You may add, edit, review, export, or delete your progress records within the app where those features are available.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete information that you entered into the app by using the app's available delete or edit features. You may also use the app's delete-all feature where available.
If iCloud sync is enabled, deleting entries in the app may also remove those entries from your iCloud-synced app data across devices signed into the same Apple ID. Syncing and deletion behavior may depend on iCloud availability, device settings, and Apple's services.
Removing the app from your device may remove locally stored app data from that device. Depending on your iCloud, backup, and device settings, copies of app data may remain in backups or iCloud-synced app storage controlled by your Apple account.
10. Sensitive Personal Content
Because Growth Journal allows users to write personal notes and reflections, you should avoid entering information that you do not want stored on your device, synced through your private iCloud account, exported, or included in your own progress records.
You are responsible for the content you choose to record in the app and for protecting your device, Apple ID, iCloud settings, backups, screenshots, and exported files.
11. Children's Privacy
Growth Journal is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
12. Security
We take reasonable steps to design Growth Journal in a privacy-conscious manner. However, no app, device, cloud service, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, iCloud account, and device passcode secure.
13. International Users
Growth Journal may be available to users in different countries or regions. By using the app, you understand that your use of the app may be subject to the laws and platform rules applicable in your location.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we may update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Growth Journal after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
